California K-12 Ed Tech Voucher Program
Innovative Learning Conference (ILC) has been approved as a Professional Development provider for the California
K-12 Ed Tech Voucher Program General Purpose Vouchers. All products and services are platform neutral. For more
information, click here. To find out if your school
is eligible, click here.
Overview: The Education Technology K-12 Voucher Program resulted from the Settlement Agreement between California
consumers and Microsoft Corporation.
The vouchers made available through this Settlement Agreement are to be used to assist districts with implementing
and supporting education technology that fosters effective teaching and promotes student achievement in eligible schools
that serve students in grades kindergarten through twelfth grade.
The Education Technology K-12 Voucher Program is very different from typical state or federal technology grant programs
in three main areas:
- Fifty percent (50%) of the total voucher award amount may only be used for products and/or services that meet
the criteria for General Purpose Vouchers, and the remaining 50% may only be used for products that meet the criteria
for Specific Category Software Vouchers.
- All products and services must be purchased using existing funding. The Lead Education Agency (LEA) then submits
the appropriate documentation to the Settlement Claims Administrator (SCA) for reimbursement.
- All products and services must meet the conditions of the Settlement Agreement to be eligible for remimbursement.
ILC recommends that schools and districts contact the SCA and verify the eligibility of the product or service BEFORE
spending funds that you expect to have remimbursed. For more information, click here.
The receipt you receive via e-mail when you register for the 2008 Innivative Learning Conference,
presented by CUE and FETC - San Jose, CA, October 14-16, 2008, will contain itemized details you may need to submit your
request for remibursement. If you do not receive this receipt via e-mail, please contact the ILC Registration Office at
866-517-5048, or register@accureg.com, and we will reissue you
a copy of this receipt.
The Innovative Learning Conference is currently listed as an approved provider of Professional Development for the
CA Ed Tech K-12 Voucher program. For absolute certainty with regards to which products, services and activities are
eligible for reimbursement and which are not, we recommend that schools and districts contact the SCA (800-419-5286)
and verify the eligibility of the product, service or activity. The SCA will provide a unique confirmation number
of the communication. That number should be included in the voucher redemption documentation submitted by the district.
For more information, click here.
Reimbursement Process: The request for funds information is available online at the CDE website.
