What is ILC?
Innovative Learning Conference (ILC) 2008 is an interactive event produced in partnership with CUE and FETC for
the K-12 education community that is devoted to advancing student achievement through innovative educational strategies.
ILC is designed for public and private K-12 educators of all levels: superintendents, site and district administrators,
technology directors, curriculum designers, media specialists, district CTOs and other IT professionals. ILC attendees
will experience:
- Over 200 insightful sessions that will promote innovative solutions to 21st century challenges faced by today’s educators.
- More than 60 in-depth hands-on workshops that will provide practical “use-it tomorrow” tools, skills and ideas based
on tried-and tested strategies.
- Targeted featured speakers, including experts and respected thought leaders in the fields of education and related industries.
- An exhibit hall full of leading solution providers who will offer effective technology services, professional
development opportunities and much more.
Conference Registration
Conference registrations are being accepted online, by fax and U.S. mail. Your full conference registration fee provides
access to Opening and Closing Sessions, Eye Opening Keynote Sessions, Featured Speaker Sessions, all Concurrent Sessions,
as well as Receptions, Special Events and unlimited entry to the ILC 2008 Exhibit Hall. Ticketed Workshops are not
included in your conference registration fee.
Opening Keynote Session
ILC welcomes Danny Forster, host of Discovery Channel’s Build it Bigger. The Opening Session, sponsored by
Discovery Education, will be held Tuesday, October 14, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m..
Concurrent Sessions
Building on the expertise of CUE and FETC, the ILC conference offers an outstanding program. Attendees can choose from
more than 200 Concurrent Sessions addressing current and emerging technologies, along with best practices for classroom
integration discovered through research and experience. Attendees may also choose from a slate of nationally-recognized
speakers who will address current topics in educational technology during Eye Opening Keynotes and Featured Speaker Sessions.
Ticketed Workshops
ILC is offering over 60 full- and half-day lectures and hands-on Ticketed Workshops led by local and national
experts. These information-packed workshops offer participants a chance to explore topics in more depth than time
allows in a Concurrent Session. Workshops are held in the San Jose Marriott, adjacent to the Convention Center,
October 13-16, 2008. Ticketed Workshops have limited seating and require an additional fee to attend.
Leadership Forums
ILC is hosting two Leadership Forums on October 13, 2008 that will offer leaders an opportunity to exchange ideas
and share information on various challenges specifically faced by management. Leadership Forums have limited seating
and require an additional fee to attend.
Welcome Reception and Exhibit Hall Grand Opening
Join us for food and drinks in the ILC Exhibit Hall from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. immediately following the Opening Keynote
Session on Tuesday, October 14. It's the perfect opportunity to meet with leading education product and service experts
to research and gather information on potential solutions to meet school and district challenges.
Exhibit Hall
The Exhibit Hall makes its grand opening 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. following the Opening Session on Tuesday, October 14, 2008.
Attendees will be able to preview and purchase the latest hardware, software and peripherals from the more than 200
companies in attendance. The Exhibit Hall will be open the following hours:
Tuesday, October 14 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, October 15 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Thursday, October 16 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Closing Session
Conclude your conference experience by attending the Closing Session on Thursday, October 16 from 3:45 to 5:00 p.m.
This extraordinary session will motivate you to return to your school or district and put what you’ve learned into practice.

San Jose Convention Center
The San Jose Convention Center is located at 150 West San Carlos Street. Parking is available in the convention
center garage for $18 a day. Limited parking is also available adjacent to the complex. A 20-mile-long, modern and
efficient Light Rail Transit system connects San Jose hotels, shops and restaurants with the San Jose Convention Center.

Fresno Pacific University Credit
Fresno Pacific University is pleased to offer professional growth credit for attending ILC 2008. On-site registration
will be available in the registration area of the Convention Center on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Tuition fee is
$65 for each unit. Payment may be made by check, Visa, MasterCard or Discover. A written assignment will be required to
